I do agree the market is nervous. I know I'm about as relaxed as a cat on a hot tin roof.

As for the CSFB estimate, I didn't see it during market hours. Think there's a chance it was over-looked by others? If we can get a few sane days under our belts, buying should return.

I believe ETEK is the first of the sector to announce --- on April 11. And, don't forget tomorrow SDL's at the Merrill Lynch "TechTopia" conference in NYC.

Here's the calendar for those who didn't jot down the dates (including me).

Merrill Lynch TechTopia 2000, NYC, SDLI included --- April 6

ETEK earnings --- April 11

All Optical Networks ComFormum 2000 --- April 13

Corning earnings --- April 17

Lucent earnings --- April 20

Nortel earnings --- April 25

JDSU earnings --- April 26

SDLI earnings --- April 27

Soundview Photonics Conference, NYC, SDLI included --- April 27

Alcatel earnings --- May 4

CLEO/QELS 2000 (Optical conference) SDLI included --- May 7 - 12

Chase H&Q Technology Conference, SF, SDLI included --- May 8-9

Optical Switching Conference --- May 18-19

Ciena earnings --- May 20

SuperComm, Atlanta --- June 4-8

CIBC Communications Conference, NYC, SDLI included --- June 12-13

You couldn't tell by today's action, but CSFB raises estimate on SDLI today. CSFB is usually good for a long duration move on the stock. Lack of this confirms a very nervous market! ......posted April 5th.

Am reading the thread going back a couple of weeks. At least somebody was paying attention!
