>>Information equals value, and none of us can individually have as good intelligence as the market collectively has.<<

market information represents the avg of participating investor information. everyone can't be below the avg, bgr.

do us all a favor, say i'm waving my hands and move on. your position is untenable.

>>What you have forgotten about the CSCO example is that CSCO's revenues will grow over time, whereas your yields will be fixed. In short, CSCO is a growth company.<<

i didn't forget this issue. i addressed it loud and clear. did you read the whole note? btw, i don't buy revenues, i buy future earnings probability as best as i can gauge it.

how long would $2 billion (cisco's earnings) have to grow at 30% (long term aggressive growth rate for cisco) to equal the $30 billion i can have guaranteed now? remember to reinvest the interest after taxes, ok? will you live that long? will cisco exist that long? will the technology? will the world?

dumb bet, imho. ESPECIALLY IN TECHNOLOGY which changes so very fast.
