Mani,

In order for Thunderbird to keep up with Willy, AMD will have to stay ahead of Intel in process technology. The fact that AMD has stable T-bird parts running in Copper is very good, and also the fact that they have built 0.13u parts is important.

Mani,

If clock for clock, Mustang or Thunderbird is faster than Willamete (I am not saying that it is) then AMD will do great for at least the next few years.

But you are assuming that Thunderbird will scale to the same clock speeds that Willy is supposed to achieve. I don't think we have evidence of that - yet.

I think that with information available we can predict good Q1, Q2, and probably even Q3. Beyond that, we don't have a clue (at least I don't).
