Copper Canyon in 4 weeks On the upcoming trip with my better half, we be going into the northern part of Sonora to the Gulf of California. villages of the Tarahumara Indians Better wear your track shoes. I understand that tribe runs everywhere. BTW when you get to that island with the Margaritas, maybe I'll just pull up a chair and join you. Not lurking ... just porchin' lurqer

Thanks for the welcome. I see that you're going to Copper Canyon. I did the trip in the '60s, shortly after the rail line opened. Absolutely spectacular and much more primitive then than now. If you're stopping at Creel and stsaying over a night or two, PLEASE visit the Tarahumara Children's Hospital run by one of the nicest men in the world, Father Verplancken, and MAKE A CASH CONTRIBUTION. Father V. NEEDS CASH to provide basic medical services to the Tarahumara children who are affected by drought, hunger, and disease. Get others to GIVE CASH, too.
