Funny, today's FT has a special section on Home Networking. No ELON mentioned, but 20 other Cos. there. What gives?

Uh that's The Financial Times www.FT.com for those of you who don't believe anything that is not on the 'net.

My understanding may be incorrect, but the 2/24/00 CSCO/ELON announcement above sounds like a very good design win for ELON.

However, Companies announce alliances all the time, but it is only over a period of time that these alliances (or design wins, as they are sometimes called) turn into actual revenues. Furthermore, sometimes design wins fail to result in significant revenues or even result in no revenues at all.

ELON sought certification by the CSCO NetWorks Program. This was followed by successful field trials of the system. What I don't know is how many other companies are certified under the CSCO NetWorks Program, whether CSCO can certify ELON competitors, nor what the certification implies for ELON revenue growth in the year ahead. If the CSCO certification implies rapid revenue growth for ELON in the near future, I wish Oshman would be more forthcoming with his guidance.

Since a small portion of my portfolio is in WIND, and WIND is the reference platform for the CSCO NetWorks Program, I would be more than delighted to see a CSCO NetWorks Program that includes CSCO, WIND and ELON products be a huge success this year, but I have no idea whether this will happen.

Regarding Sun, would you please provide the links so I know more precisely what you want you me to respond to in your query?

Finally, there is no question in my mind that ELON has produced a respectable technology and that an opportunity exists for the ELON protocol to become a very important standard, but whether that opportunity yet to be realized makes ELON a buy at these levels is yet another question.

And now, lest I wrongfully be associated with the notorious visitor to this thread with whom many of you share refined discourse from the George Carlin genre, I bid you all a fond adieu and a very good night!

Best Regards, Huey
