Tiger, I won't dispute you on this point. I don't know enough Physics. The people who I have been reading that claim to have the Physics say no, but, they could be wrong, plus, what the hell difference will it make to us anyway?

The main thing is that we are all staying on top of this industry, which will continue to make our fortunes, IMO.

I can imagine ways to switch light packets with light...

There are non-linear optical materials where the transmission of light in one direction is affected by the presence of light in another direction. I too am sure that fully optical routers are not impossible - eventually.
