It is possible for AMD to be posting $1 for this quarter and $4 for the year. The key reasons being taxes and ASPs (especially if demand slacks off and/or Dresden bombs). Only one of these is in AMDs hands - I am eagerly looking forward to Dresden production.... Bottom Line: This company's earnings momentum will be extremely hard to predict until Dresden ramp is established.
