Just came accross the thread Conseco has been in bad shape before, but that was years ago and all of the big boys were buying into the weakness. Checked out the insiders buying and no one is jumping on board this time around. I am surprised that they are calling for Hilbert's head, although why they bought Green Tree in a low interest environment still puzzles me. Hilbert owns a huge amount of stock and they are running commercials nonstop on the tube. This has me scratching my head, will Hilbert work his magic or is this the beginning of the end. My guess is Hilbert and Conseco will survive this crisis, but the stock price will be dictated by the way the market turns. You won't see much of a bounce if the market keeps tanking. Moneyguy
