Maybe...

But rather be dead than red (as in "in the red"). As in "toxic money"...
pulling money out of death to chase momo = "toxic money"
...as exhibited the last couple days.
As in, "Damn, if I had just left my money dead I wouldn't have lost so much."

"Look Bob, Q is dead. Move your money into some instrument that is going up."
"Which one?"
"Hell, just look at the charts."

One month later...

"Thanks Bob."
"What?"
"If I had just left my money on Q, I would have had the same amount of money I did last month."
"Exactly. That's DEAD money."
"Right. But what do you call what I have now?"
"Hmmm...less money?"
"You're learning."

QCOM looks a lot better than the Siliconix (SILI) you bought on March 13 at 120. On March 13, QCOM closed at 130. Your SILI stock is now at 80 (down 33%) and QCOM is at 140 (up about 8%). Which do you prefer?
