You might want to check out www.option-wizard.com. They offer a good Excel spreadsheet product for analyzing options, projecting trends, doing backtesting with charts, etc. I believe that John will give you a free trial copy so that you can check it out.

i recall seeing a options analysis package that will take your input (such as how much $$ you want to risk, timeframe, etc.) and spits out an analysis of which option strategies/combos will pay off the most.

I can't recall which package it is off hand.
perhaps optionstation from omega research.
