Spinning top on COMPX, open and close essentially the same, indicates indecision. Attempt to push market down going into the last hour. Bargain hunters pushed it back up to close flat. This is a good sign as it indicates more and more people think the majority of the selling is done. Earnings pre-announcement from TLAB. Market reaction was subdued with TLAB's closing down only a few points. This is bullish for earnings as good earnings will be rewarded. On a relative valuation basis TLAB is trading below it historical forward P/E. Safe stocks will be ADCT and LU therefore. Internet sector weaker than it appears. Telecom having a huge day paced by the overvalued high flyers that were the last to break JNPR, RBAK and to a lesser extend SCMR. Semiconductors that lead the rally yesterday consolidated today. JDSU looks sick. Market may be starting to wonder how secure their position is. Possible problems with ETEK merger. SDLI continues to look the better of the two for appreciation.
