DougRobinson: I'm pleased you've done so well. But I'm reminded of Pavlov and his dog. Pav would ring a bell and his dog goes to his bowl which is full and he eats his food. But in a down or "bear" market, the bell rings, the dog goes to his bowl...and it's empty. My point; buying the dips in an up market has been a very profitable strategy. But buying the dips in a "down" market may cause a lot of pain. Of course, if you've got a ton of money and a lot of time...you needn't worry. But if your capital is somewhat limited and you're a trader...well, you can get hurt badly...in a short period of time. I've received many posts in the past few weeks from the latter who are really hurting. I rarely take a dogmatic position that may paint me into a corner. But I gotta tell you, this market scares me...powerful rallies notwithstanding. (Lee)
