MSFT played the game and lost. Time to fess up and get it over with.

First, it's not a game.

Second, 'fessing up' is inappropriate when one is not guilty.

P.S. I've maintained from the beginning that if Microsoft did anything wrong they should admit it, accept the punishment, and mend their ways. This is the proper course of action for responsible people and companies. I also maintain that if no wrongs have been committed, taking the immediate, convenient, easy path and 'going along' with false accusations is an improper behaviour. Two wrongs, (DOJ's error and MSFT's confession) won't make things right.
