I see. So, it's a plus if EDIG adopts encoders that nobody else is supporting? How much of a market is there going to be for that? I suppose it provides some limited benefit: they may get some prototype business out of it. But, ultimately, consumers aren't going to tolerate Balkinazation. It's either going to settle-out to one standard, else the copy-protection initiatives are going to just all fail.
