Links and another blurb: Advanced Micro Devices Inc. (AMD) rose 4 1/8, or 6
percent, to 72 1/2 and traded as high as 74 1/4. The company's in discussions about
semiconductors with Dell Computer Corp. (DELL), CNBC reported, citing Salomon Smith
Barney. Dell may use AMD's chips as a second source to Intel Corp. (INTC). Salomon
Smith Barney also raised its forecast for AMD shares to $100, CNBC said.

I will accept the drink, but if you bought this turkey back in 1984 for $40, you are still not doing worth a damn,

$40 then now needs to be $65.14 to be equal.

Lots of suffering here. Those $40 stocks purchases in 1984 have only earned .45% return compounded yearly if you use AMD's price of $70. Pretty poor, so don't gloat too much around your suffering fellow stockholders...humble carl
