Those aren't normal prices, they were jacked up for the tourist trade. I pay about 30 cents a pound for potatoes, corn is about five ears for a dollar in the summer.

I dunno about the salad- but I think you were getting gouged on the potatoes and corn. Those prices are more than twice what I normally pay. I'd say they gouge the tourists out there on the banks. On a lighter note, at least you weren't at the ballpark or airport- it would be $3 for an ear of corn there. <g>
