you may well be right...one thing's for certain, for Bush a BK at the earliest opportunity would be best. for one he would get elected, and secondly if it happened now, there would be more time to fix things in time for the next election. it is a pity that we can only speculate about these things and not get a glimpse at what is happening behind closed doors. in any event, the current admin is the height of cynicism and untrustworthiness, with the liar-in-chief exemplifying the whole sorry state of affairs. it's like Hamlet's Denmark. something's rotten.
