I am looking at the grocery inserts from yesterday's Washington Post - SuperFresh has fresh sweet white corn 10 ears for $2, Magruder's has Florida red potatoes 39 cents a pound, Idaho potatoes five pound bag for $1.47. Sam's ought to be cheaper than the local competition, at least it usually is. Virginia Beach isn't just a tourist trap, a lot of military personnel stationed around there. But places like the Outer Banks, Chincoteague, etc., really gouge the tourists to made up for the fact that they are ghost towns once the water gets cold.

No, you just got ripped off, tourista or not. Man that is a lot of driving for food, add another 5 cents per ear of corn for gas. -g-
