Hi Oldtrader,
Here's my big pic. Half of my net worth is in a MM acct. most of which will go toward building a new house. The market ain't getting this $ back, no way!

2/3 of other half is divided more or less evenly between the following stocks CSCO,ORCL,EMC,SUNW,NOK. I have large gains on all of these and want to hold this core portfolio for the long term.

1/3 of the other half is in what I think of as risky trading stocks EXDS,VRTS,TQNT. I made a lot of $ on EXDS and TQNT but have given back most of that. I'm down 20 pts or so on VRTS. I'm the world's worst trader so when I saw them start plummeting I did nothing and just watched them drop along with the rest of the NASDAQ. I'm just wondering if it might be better to just blow out these more risky stocks and use the $ to add DELL and AMAT to my core portfolio and forget about it. I'm not on margin so I can afford to wait for these 3 high flyers to start flying again. I'm just wondering if in the long run (3-5 yrs) high flyers like these will outperform my bellwhethers?

Thanks,
Lee
