I have had it....

I am pretty much a contrary indicator, so take it FWIW's

I bought in in 1999, January, and watched it do nothing for more than a year...

I cannot take another drop to the 40's (or lower), so I am out with my 26x 2001 LEAPS...

I essentially lost money here, but I do not care anymore...

Mikey cannot play the street properly, he sets expectations too high then misses them...

I hope all of you well, and might come back in if the stock hits 40 or so

Take care
Jean

Merrill's take on the meeting:

"The company spoke about the likelihood of a small sequential uptick in operating expenses for Q1. We were at 11.1% operating expenses in Q1; we now feel that it will be in the area of 11.7%.

"We are maintaining our Q1 EPS estimate of $0.17 and feel that there may be room to raise both our revenue and gross margin estimates. However, due to the increase in operating expenses we fell it is unlikely the company will beat our $0.17 estimate, which is a penny higher than the Street.

"DELL reaffirmed our conviction in terms of the enormity [sic] of the opportunity available with respect to the level of internet-infrastructure spending that they can be a part of.

"We think that DELL will begin to position itself as more of an enterprise infrastructure company and less as just a PC company.

"We reiterate our Buy/Buy rating and continue to feel that our FY2001 EPS estimate of $0.90 is conservative."

Re: "this is about letting some boys get some cheap options, a slot game rig; a little button underdeath the wheel"

OK. I won't argue with your logic. I will just assume that I let them get all of mine today even though they could of gotten them cheaper on Tuesday. I just can't buy into any rig schemes. Dell has had a huge run since they announced they were lowering their forecast down to 30% from 50%. Then they said they would meet 1st quarter ok but with that they said they see second half supply strains now Schneider saying cost are going up.

It's making me nervous since all these things happened before earnings and after a huge spring analyst conference. It just doesn't seem like any big runups are near. Not worth me risking what I have already gained. I'm willing to miss further runups!
