Oops, I guess I missed the memo about this meeting here. Got to go. I am glad that this thread has knowledgeable participants. I'd better shut up for a while and learn sth. :o)

I just got a call that my Aunt has died, so will be going up north this weekend. I'll meet my folks coming over from Wisconsin tomorrow, so won't be posting until I get back. maybe over the weekend we will get some other lurkers ideas.

Optim,

Thank you for sharing. It sounds a long process.

My way is more simple. I use different timeframe to quantify different trend. Sort of CD32 up, CD8 down, CD4 down (in TF+). Check where is the previous trading range and enter at support level with tight stop. This is my trend following method. I am willing to move to the most dangerous point. A second way is conter-trend like: weekly MACD<0 and trend up while price makes a lower low (I am looking for double or triple divergence). buy stop above previous high. My way is not as mechanical as I would like and if you think you have a way of testing divergence, please let me know. I am still struggling with TF+'s divergence.

Like Lastshadow, I played AMA in ProTA for a while and I have problem to find a good filter. It's still a good indicator and I guess I have not come up with a way to use it.

It's an exciting group project but I have to call it a day. I have a business trip tomorrow. Hope to talk to you over the weekend and definitly next week. In the mean time, I can digest what you and Lastshadow said. I guess I agree with you guys mostly but still have some questions that I don't know how to ask. (same feeling with the nets.)
