but how many of your open contracts are trading at parity or, in other words, with no time value left? if there is time value left in the put, the holder would generally prefer to sell rather than exercise.

people have been talking abut biotech coming back. pe celera (cra) has been in the news the past two days. instead of investing in companies that do research for new drugs, why not nvest in a company that makes the picks and shovels for those reasearch.

suggest that you look at peb (pe biosystems) which also owns celera (cra and peb are siblings). peb is a member of sp500, not much publicity, but i bet mutual fund managers are very aware about this. ibd ranking of peb is not bad at all.
