Optim,

Sorry for double posting. I missed that 15 min timeframe to make modifications and I am slowwww in typing. Please bear with me.

Thank you for sharing. It sounds a long process.

My way is more simple. I use different timeframe to quantify different trend. Sort of CD32 up, CD8 down, CD4 down (in TF+). Check where is the previous trading range and enter at support level with tight stop. This is my trend following method and it treats me well. I am willing to move to the most dangerous point. A second way is conter-trend like: weekly MACD<0 and trend up while price makes a lower low (I am looking for double or triple divergence peaks). buy stop above previous high. My way is not as mechanical as I would like and if you think you have a way of testing divergence, please let me know. I am still struggling with TF+'s divergence. I also have Metastock.

Like Lastshadow, I played AMA in ProTA for a while and I have problem to find a good filter. It's still a good indicator and I guess I have not come up with a way to use it.

BrainMaker is really painful to use or I missed sth. I think I am going to take advantage of their 30 money back policy. But I do want to keep their book which is an excellent intro for me.

It's an exciting group project but I have to call it a day. I have a business trip tomorrow. Hope to talk to you over the weekend and definitly next week. In the mean time, I can digest what you and Lastshadow said. I guess I agree with you guys mostly but still have some questions that I don't know how to ask. (same feeling with the nets.) I'd better go back and read RM's book. Once we decide on stocks we need to figure out which question to ask the net.

Please propose stocks as Last suggested. You may have experience with conter-trend systems as you prefer choppy stocks. I generally prefer trending stocks. This is individual style and should not affect too much our project. Trading is such a personal thing I guess even you give a complete system out for free like many did, the majority of people will still buy-and-hold or can not stick to the plan. Stick to a mechanical system is the most boring thing and only a few can do. (I am trying to get there.)
