Re stock split: While sure $100 is a magic figure, it has been a long time coming for AMD. The only one AMD ever had was in 1983 when the stock was around $60 a share I believe. If we stay above $65 by 4/12 I see it happening. There is a psychological dimension that will benefit AMD: a stock split generates attention for the company and makes shareholders excited. It would be one further way for AMD to alter its public image from an also ran to Intel to a semiconductor technology leader.

I would also be very surprised if AMD announces a stock split on 4/12. I don't think we will see a split until AMD is trading over $100, but at that time, I think we might get a 3-for-1 split.

If AMD announces a stock split on 4/12, by the time the split goes into effect it will be over $100....JMO.
