SUNW sells stability not speed. This isn't INTC or MSFT that can bring out a product and then go WHOOPS! When USIII are introduced they better be DEAD certain that the unit is 1000% perfect. W2k has bugs, costs $2000 and who knows what will happen with Itanic. I still think Sun is holding US3 to introduce at the same time as Itanic. The pitch will be, what do you want a first generation 64 bit cpu or the real thing. CPQs wildfire was debuted and turned out to be ho-hum. We have been given the blessing of two of the most influential analysts in recent days and DELL says they are going after Sun's business and they lose two points. Thank god they are not out looking for RIMMS. Hallelujah!

QwikSand -

I've been long Sunw since 1995 and, therefore, it is now about a third of my portfolio value. I couldn't agree with you more, and I am a little paranoid about this report.

Of course, I also think that the internet stock market news reporters and a lot of the analysts have about as much integrity as reporters for the National Enquirer, and should, most often, be taken with a grain of salt.

This report quotes a Merrill analyst. Question: Is this guy, maybe, hyping a competing stock to his clients?
