I guess since IBM has been so much better for so long that their earnings and growth will be a lot better than Sun's in a couple of weeks? I'll be watching to see whether that's true. As I recall last quarter, IBM's Y/Y revenue growth looked pretty weak. See:

ECC SRAM?

JMHO.

You can't be serious. Sun originally claimed UltraSparc III processors would sample by mid 98. We should have seen systems by mid 99.

Your response wasn't to the point I was making. I am
very serious. Your "should have seen" doesn't have
anything to do with what SUNW did or did not announce.
Stop hyping your own opinion. Do you or do you NOT
know when SUNW announced the availability of Ultra III
Servers and what that date was to be?? If you don't
really know, please say so, and don't pretend that you
know more than you do. The article you posted indicated
that SUNW believes it is inline with their shipping
schedules. Refute that with FACTS please, not gum-
flapping.

IBM (one of Sun's competitors) came out with better silicon technology last Sept with the S80 series

I'm interested. Do you have any specs on the S80's?
