I am a classic first born, right down to my choice of professions. We tend to favor analytical, or scientific jobs, with structure. "Driven" is also a term that is often associated with first borns. What I found most interesting about the book was that birth order is more than just the order of your birth. Some people are functional first borns. For example if there is a large gap between the oldest sibling and you, you might have some only child tendencies, plus some first born, and of course, your expected baby of the family side as well.
