Premiums are subject to various influences, time decay being one. Options decay "suddenly" after each month's expiry. I don't know the rate they'd decay in the next week or two. Somebody else on the thread probably has a reference or bookmark for you on that (I hope). I have not done such near term calls, i.e. held a near term call to close to expiry.

Hi dawg,

Regarding your question about theta (time decay) on short term options. If the price of the underlying stock stays the same, you'll the the premium on your option decay very slowly until the week prior to expiration, when it decays like lemmings jumping off a cliff. If you're in those options for a trade, keep that in mind and consider taking your profits soon. I hope this helps.
