More important, when the solar flare cycle peaks in 2003 and wireless disruptions increase, what will happen?

While these items you guys point out are valid potential "speed bumps" in the wireless world, they are nothing but that.

I believe there are wireless technologies just around the corner that we cannot even imagine right now. The technology curve is logarithmic and we are just "rounding the bend". Development is already underway on laser and other optical wireless devices. QCOM already has chipsets on the market (or close to market) which support 2.4 Mbps data transfers. And we're only scratching the surface, much more to come.

Blue Tooth alliance sets current standards for wireless networks that will allow, for example, your handheld personal communications device to communicate with, say, your car by just being in a certain proximity to it. Hands free controls, steering wheeling phone controls, dash board displays will all be integrated by just laying your "cell phone" on the seat. I love this stuff!

It is an exciting time to be alive if you like this kind of stuff!
