yes... I'm serious the streamer allow up to 20 symbols and one of the stocks I follow is dell. Yesterday dell was trading 25 pluss million shares and that was maybe 10 to 20% of the total volume of all the 20 stocks in the streamer. So I deleted it and the cpu dropped from average 95 to 87%

Under Linux there is a 5or 6 to 1 ratio between the netscape process running streamer and the X process. Now I'm use xig and it might be a lot worse with a Xfree86 and or with kde or gnome. I don't have any interest in testing except to figure out what resource I need for my systems to run 100% of the time and handle all loads. Not being able to trade can cost lots more than a PC.

Now I also run on my P3 up to ten iqcharts that are also jre's that run standalone and I cannot see any blips on cpu usage, but they only update once a minute and then compute whaterver indicator I have up. usually stochastic and dme
