No offense, but hope one lesson will be learned. Note the posts regarding flurry of analyst upgrades a week ago when SFE was $60, just before getting nearly cut in half. Believe me, I was a broker for ten years and...analyst opinions are worth absolutely nothing or worse, should be used in a contrary way. The few who do know and tell it correctly are in such minority as to make the search for them unproductive. Ones own common sense, and knowledge of valuations-crowd psychology etc. are much more productive. Ask yourself if tempted to follow anothers opinion. If he/she is wrong, will he/she pay for my losses? Obviously not. I know of no other professional field where the general level of true expertise is so sorely lacking among the practicioners as exists in the securities industry and I don't just mean analysts. It is shameful and has only been disguised by the fact that we have been in an unprecedented bull market. Some brokers are worth their weight in gold, but unfortunately they are a distinct minority. Most don't have a clue and might just as well be selling used cars. [no offense to car salesman, which by comparison are in an honorable profession.] thanks, Mike
