Following up:

Apparently Fidelity knows when to fold them because these huge distributions represent share profits made on stocks they got out of in time.
Holding many individual stocks, I can see now with the new rises where they dumped their funds at the top.
I'm going to go to the trough to pay additional taxes this month.

Angler, I've been very happy with FFNOX - the Four-in-one Fund, let me know what you think.

Hi Angler,

Pleeeeeeeeeeeeease feel free to butt in any time.

No, I didn't know it and it is an IRA but it was
still quite confusing for me, because I sold at
10am Friday and bought FSDCX. I checked the sector
and some of the listed stocks in FSELX to make sure
that everything was up and then sold at 9:58am.
It should've been up 2 or 3 bucks.
Imagine my chagrine when the price I got was down $4
!!!!!!!!!
I called and asked how it could happen and did not get
an explanation. So I called later in the evening and
talked to 2 different people before one finally
explained that they paid a $6.53 dividend. They
subtracted it from the share price Friday morn
but don't add the additional shares until Monday.

I thought when they paid a dividend that it was an
increase but it is just a mini split.
TAXABLE

Anyway, I read your post when I got home and I thank
you.

I sold all my shares of FSLEX but they tell me
I'll have some more Monday. Seems like a sloppy
way to do things, at best.

Bob
