The roadshow for the AltaVista offering - due to be priced on April 17, and amounting to about 10 per cent of the company - is under way and Mr Wetherell said: "From what we are hearing they are getting an enthusiastic response."

I'm no IPO law expert, but I can't believe DW would make such a statement in a pre-IPO quiet period. I've seen IPOs derail for less puffy statements than that...
