Eli, always happy to respond to rational posts.

I haven't gone to the lengths you did to calculate the annualized return of VLNC versus the NASDAQ. I simply looked at a 3 year comparison of VLNC versus NASDAQ on bigcharts and it appeared to me there was a significant underperformance of VLNC relative to the NASDAQ. I'll take your word for it that it is not that big. The point I was trying to make is that FMK was suggesting the that because the stock price of VLNC has risen over the last 3 years, it somehow vindicates his years of bs hype. My point is that every other stock in the world has also risen during the same time period, including many dogs that will one day end up bankrupt. Doesn't prove a thing.

Also, I heartily disagree with characterizing FMK's posting history as "overenthusiastic." This and other boards are filled with overenthusiasm and I have no problem with 99% of overenthusiastic posts. It is the literally hundreds of posts over the years of supposed inside sources claims of imminent production, imminent major contracts, numerous assembly lines producing at high volumes, totally unreasonable projections of the revenue-generating capacity of the equipment. Those are the ones I take issue with.

I suggest you go back and read the "best of FMK" list that FMK himself reposted this morning. If you can read those posts and not conclude that either FMK or his "sources" were consistently lying over the years...well I'd have to say we just look at things differently.

Finally, regarding your delight with your investment...I'm glad the stock price has tripled for you so that you can feel this way. However, if three years ago I would have said that in next 3 years VLNC would have produced 24 million new shares but only $700,000 in revenue, and would have lost over $50 million in that period, would you have held the stock? I doubt it, because 3 years ago, FMK was telling you that major contracts were imminent.

If price performance is your only criterion for delight with your investment rather than demonstrated fundamental progress, you would have been even more delighted with an index fund tracking the NASDAQ.
