Okay, but that's wanting the page to be predifined in the script, right? I'm looking for something more dynamic. Here's the exact URL that the script would need to produce: http-colon//siliconinvestor.com/research/quote.gsp?s=aep&submit.x=0&submit.y=0 --- Now, I guess I'm wanting to make everything after 'quote.gsp' into a variable that gets appended in the script after reading <ticker_symbol> from the 'rtq <ticker_symbol>' alias. Possible? -JCJ

Serendipitous connections. thanks Mitch and jcj. For a long time I was ticked because zdnet serves up pages where you cannot cut and paste out the text or title. So I sall your posts on lynx and I thought, what happen if I paste the url with lynx. Hey now I've got a simple way to get the text out. I'd never used lynx before. Anyway the story of interest was zdnet.com

IBM storage server hits speed bump
By Sonia R. Lelii, PC Week Online

IBM's prized storage server, known as Shark, is being weighed down by glitches that can degrade performance.

Specifically, Shark, officially called the Enterprise Storage Server, suffers from a subpar PCI interface that is causing serious bottle necks and other glitches, according to customers and analysts.

This info supports my theory that SGI OriginTM 200 GIGAchannel box is the way to do tens of terabyte storage.
No doubt Sgi pci works much better than IBM pci anyway but the giga channel option also comes with sgi xio which has smokin performance. Damn if IBM only new they could solve all their problems by just buying SGI.
