What a joke.....

Linux vs Solaris ?

Ha Ha Has Ha

*Not scalable enough.... Just how many processors again <g> 2? 4?
*Not for the enterprise...
*where is the Dynamic Reconfiguration or all the other utilities needed buy enterprise class systems
*where is the 3rd party support tools, like OpenView and *will they be optimized to the Hardware platform like Solaris/Sparc or S/M-Class/HP-UX
* a free, irascible "community" model for development
* fragmentation of the OS is starting...
*the companies selling it are pygmies (the OS, Not Dell) compared to SUN or HP or even IBM ....

What a joke ! Linux vs Solaris 8.xx or HP X 11.x Ha ha ha

the threat from Dell...yadda yadda yadda

You can see that this threat is really terrifying the market: SUNW RTQ 98 +5 1/4.

Plus Michael Dell's remarks are particularly vacuous even for him. If he thinks Linux is what's going to give him the opportunity to eat into Sun's market share, he's got to stop eating those mushrooms he found behind his mansion.
