Sting, Excellent Post!

LOL!

NY must be jam packed with religious people. Horns are blowing all the time.

Cab drivers must be the most religious people I've ever seen.
They constantly honk their horns and often swerve their cab infront of me as to help block the demons from attacking my front bumper.

Sometimes I try to return the favor. They flash me the same Hawaiian hand gesture you mentioned.

There appears to be a lot of Hawaiians in NY City. They sure have strange names. I never realized how many constanants they could fit into one name. Some of their names don't contain a single vowel.
I guess that helps to ward off the demons. If they can't say your name, you can't be a target of theirs.

The smell of the cabs must also protect their passengers from demons.
Demons must love hot days with lots of humidity. That's when those cabs smell the worst.

Often times I see a cab flying down Madison Ave. zigging and zagging in and out of traffic doing 50 MPH. Usually the tourist passengers will be seen saying their prayers as they attempt to get to their next destination.

NY City is a very religious place.
