Rande and all,

The conversation about buy and hold vs. a modified (hybrid)buy and hold (ie. seasonal buy and hold - until the next season) was great. In fact it reinforced my original gut feeling to lighten my load when Rande suggested three weeks ago. (Note: I stayed my course of buy and hold and did not follow my gut.)

So yesterday, I said "self, your stocks recovered a little this week and the trading port is still up about 45% since December (was as high as 60% though), and I do foresee the tech stocks slouching this summer to include a sell off after earnings."

Compound this self reflection with the overtones here that tech stocks have not seen the worst this Spring, and I had made myself a decision!

I decided to lighten my load yesterday - a lot, about 60% cash. My intent was (and is) to not trade tech stocks until after the post-earnings drop.

And what happened today - everything I sold went up!

Rande, I have learned from you though and I kept "free" shares in adap, lptha, jdsu, brcm, and vtss.

So, for everyone's benefit, I will try to let you know when I do this next time. Then you can all buy and make lots of money :)

Well Rande, an incredible move in optical stocks - my favorite, and I missed out on most of it.

Rande and all, what are you thinking about the market now and what will your strategy be this coming 2-3 weeks?

Any comments are welcome. By the way the sarcasm was intended in a playful manner.

I am actually quite comfortable in my position, just feel a bit left out.

Paullie
