Re: " Judge Jackson's vote for an expedition without the usual steps. This indicates a bit of arrogance, and contempt for the legal process. He wants to do this because he fears that George Bush may be the next elected president and the proceedings against Microsoft will be put down."

Frank I'm betting that Clinton & Gore are worried about the public image of MSFT and want to circumvent Bush on the issue by calling Attorney General brief. We may be surprised in the next 20 days or so?

There can still be a settlement in the interest of clam markets and consumer interest of economic stability. Tearing MSFT down will cause rumbles never before seen in our economy. MSFT is just too interwoven with technological prosperity IMO. Of course the European community is another case altogether but that's years away IMO.
