Good point. But the problem the experts have is the chart. It does look unstable.

My expectation two days ago was a 50% possibility for a return to low to mid 3ks. A slight chance is still there for a sig. retrace. A better chance exists for a smaller retrace 10% or so. All this bouncing around prevents a base from developing.

Keeping cash for quick trading in case volatility continues.

But, the bull seems to have survived the greatest precentage decline in Nas history.

Not only that, but what did the big drop actually accomplish? A number of margin holders were taken out, a bunch of crappy companies got hammered into oblivion and will never recover, and a number of investors who could not hang on (and perhaps should not have been in the market to begin with) were hurt. However, the rich got richer and the good companies (like JDSU) rebounded quickly and are now poised to establish new highs. What a pathetic joke.

This was market manipulation at its finest. If it happens again, it will only result in a further concentration of wealth and a further enhancement of the value of select, solid companies.
