still learning,

Thanks for the NAV update and comment.

Can't say I'm the most informed shareholder on this thread, but I concur with your outlook, FWIW. I stayed unhedged in case Opus did well in an upswing. At this juncture, I think I can keep up with the price while selling calls. So today I did that. I also sold more puts a couple of days ago. If our conviction of a slow upward drift is not correct, I could end up owning twice as many shares as I do currently.

My take is that we're nearing the end of a rally. Margin calls are still happening, and values could become less speculative. Thus I am trading on short time scales and moving back towards cash.

By the time SFE is ready to spin out another company, I think that will have run its course, with many daytraders and marginal companies ejected from the game. So I expect a more solid market in a few months -- but maybe not at these levels. Therefore, I think this is a good time to raise money. In this environment, maybe they can find some nicely valued partner companies to take a stake in. My contrarian mind at work.

Cheers, Tuck
