Rande,

Thanks for the outlook - the information you give freely is of great value to many!

I know nothing about REITs. Do you have any favorites that we can check out? Heck, I don't even know what REITs do.

I am with you on this next move Rande - I feel it is the right call. I am probably a week early with my 60% cash, but I am ready to learn about these non-tech stocks.

Any thoughts on ANF - back in the 13's.

And REIT's - where do I learn. Thanks.

Paullie

Rande Is: I guess I am a bit more optimistic than you are. I think very solid tech earnings, analysts upgrades, and recent selloff will combine to give good results for most of next week. However, I remember April 15th (tax-day) marking the beginning of a nasty slide in the internets and many other techs. I will be 100% cash in my trading (non-taxable) account before next weekend.

I suspect that the markets will become increasing volatile and negative as we approach the May 16th Fed meeting. The media will play it for all it's worth and there will be greater than usual hysteria about a .5% rate hike. Won't happen, of course -- and should provide a nice sharp NASDAQ decline for profitable swing trades.

I still cannot stomach the idea of buying into REITS. They have been the most underperforming asset over the last several years. I'd be interested in knowing your "method behind the madness" on this one. I'll be looking at : financials, European mutual funds, and New-Age energy stocks, with a few selected undervalued tech stocks for the summer.

Good evening fellow Rande Is...Home regulars!

It has been a while since I have posted. I want to share a few observations and thoughts with all of you.

My family and I had the honor of sharing a good Mexican dinner with Rande and his family while in Orlando last month while on vacation near Disney World. My wife was very interested in meeting Rande since she knew I had the highest regard for him. My two girls were wondering why in the world I would want to meet "that Randy stock guy dad likes on the internet". They ended up having a super time at dinner with Rande's kids...everybody talked and talked and talked...the chips and food was very good...and all of us felt comfortable with each other (dinner lasted over 3 hours). I could go on and on but I would be getting pretty off topic if I did.

My primary thoughts that I can share of benefit to the thread here is as follows:
-Rande is a very generous and decent person...his character, his wonderful wife, and his children all reflect this.
-He is very talkative, creative, funny, and good at sharing real life experiences.
-He is bright and I mean very bright in many ways.
-He really needs to believe in reincarnation if he is to do all the things that he would like to do. The last part regarding reincarnation is a joke but you get what I mean.
-Rande is wise beyond his years and has remarkable instincts regarding noticing the way people and the stock market operate.
-Rande has a true servant attitude for others to succeed(such as the readers of this thread, esp. the small individual investor). This is all too rare in this dog eat dog world of ours.

Of course, most of you already knew the above.

Rande-THANK YOU for your faithful concern for people such as myself and others on the thread.

Very best regards,

Bob

Rande,

You are not alone. I totally agree with you. In fact, next wed-thur is the short term peak and we'll see tech goes lower again, may test the low we had.
