I did not meant to imply that you had violated any of the rules I listed... I listed them for the sake of doing so.

I will add however, that, unless you are exaggerating about a 10x prem increase, that you are writing NP's on very volatile stocks and/or too far OTM.
The NP's I had came close to doubling their prems during the downturn, but, at least on some of them, I expected downturns and wrote more at prespecified levels. It was nice of the mkts to come back so quickly ;-)
Seriously, I wish I had more eyes and hands to manage all the action of those several hours... I couldn't scramble to run numbers and transactions fast enough.

I will also add that letting NP's expire worthless is nowhere on my list of goals... I capture as much prem as the mkt gives me w/in my parameters. If it comes in several hours or several days, I take it and wait for the next opportunity.
