And besides being in the right business at the right time, EMC has a proven track record (which those who post here are well aware). It is worth bringing this up again as many investors are still unfamiliar with EMC.

In Business Week's overall performance ranking of the S&P 500 companies, EMC has ranked within the top 10 companies for the past three years. These companies were evaluated according to growth in sales, profits, shareholder return over both one year and three year periods, and on profit margins and return on equity.

Specifically, EMC ranked number 5 in the 2000 and 1999 lists and number 8 in the 1998 list. In this year's 2000 list, EMC appears behind MSFT, TWX, CSCO, and ORCL.

This can be reviewed on businessweek.com or in the March 27th issue of Business Week.

EMC is also listed on the Top Ten Total Return Chart (Three Year Period) just behind YHOO, CTXS, NTAP, AOL, BBY, and QCOM.

Very impressive numbers....
