Although I remember the development of the flag and the subsequent drop, I'm a little fuzzy on WHEN specifically it happened. I believe the first washout(turned out to be a head fake) was in August and the final was around Oct. 8. See if you can find some good charts(old IBD)for 1998. Funny thing is everyone was expecting a big drop in 99 similar to the one in 98 which didn't happen but I think the bottom of 99's mini-correction was the exact date of the bottom in 98.
