Since these wells are not really wildcat ventures, it sounds as if what we have here is a steady development of a fairly predictable though unspectacular field. In the Mississippi delta region what you have are more less unfaulted, horizontal layers buried in this case more than two miles deep, so that any drill that punches through anywhere in the vicinity is highly likely to traverse some productive horizons.

But with strong natural gas prices (I assume that most of what will come up will be gas), PQUE may be able to slowly build itself into real profitability. I never did understand why the former Optima abandoned all their properties in Canada, which must be far more valuable now that oil and gas prices have recovered from the overproduction slump caused by OPEC.
