oh I don't know, I think we have a lot of clout..if people really believe that we believe! No one has all of the answers, that's probably the one certain...

But the difference with this thread, is that we have very little BS ..and a huge following. That entails a LOT of responsibility and I for one feel absolutely rotten when I call something I "think" I see and it turns out to be wrong..yet in 3 years of posting on SI, I have never had one bad PM, post or tongue-lashing...so we're human and most people realize this...that goes for ALL the contributors to this thread..

I agree with you about the shortie threads that thrive on pure emotional stock bashing...I suspect a lot of people have lost serious money playing this game..but again, as the saying goes "the leader has to lead, but the follower doesn't have to follow" ..

Perhaps as a "leader" Jenna, you should email your Gemmers notice that you are going short, instead of posting on the open thread ...don't sell yourself short (pun intended!)

best always,
NOK

(OT) Jenna: Sox lost again last night, your Yankees won. Sox have severe pitching problems. If we don't straighten the pitching out, you guys are gonna run away from us. The season is still young, but I'm a bit concerned. Have a terrific week in N.Y. (Lee)
