CBS Selects the Auction Channel to Produce Monthly Auction Segment

NEW YORK, Apr 12, 2000 (BUSINESS WIRE) --

"The Real Deal, with The Auction Channel"

The Auction Channel (http://www.auctionchannel.com), a wholly-owned subsidiary
of Brilliant Digital Entertainment, Inc. (AMEX: BDE), announced today it has
entered into relationship with CBS for a monthly co-branded appraisal and
feature segment on collecting entitled "The Real Deal, with The Auction
Channel." The segment airs during CBS' "The Early Show" the last Friday of each
month, and will be extended to twice-monthly later this year.

Each segment of "The Real Deal, with The Auction Channel" will follow a specific
collecting theme, featuring a respected collectibles expert from The Auction
Channel staff. Information about the different scheduled segments will be
announced on the CBS Early show as well as posted on each site
(http://www.theauctionchannel.com and cbsnews.com). Viewers are
encouraged to send digital images of items they would like to have appraised to
designated email addresses found on both companies' Web sites.

The pilot of "The Real Deal" segment aired Friday, March 31st featuring Elyse
Luray-Marx, Vice President of Collectibles for the Auction Channel and one of
the world's foremost authorities on entertainment memorabilia. Ms. Luray-Marx
appraised an eclectic array of items sent in by CBS viewers, including drawings
by world famous animator Chuck Jones, inventor of Wile E. Coyote and animator of
the Grinch, and Puff Daddy's high school yearbook.

"Viewer response to our first segment was fabulous and with virtually no advance
promotion, we've already received dozens of inquiries and submissions for future
programs," said "The Early Show" Senior Producer, Nanci Ross. "The Auction
Channel's unique base of auction industry expertise makes them the ideal partner
to bring our viewers `The Real Deal' in this important area of popular culture."

In addition to regular "The Real Deal" programming, CBS and The Auction
Channel's partnership includes a broad range of promotional and marketing
tie-ins including co-branding on CBS.com and auctionchannel.com, joint events,
and custom content for the CBS Web site, including collecting advice, chats and
online appraisal services offered by The Auction Channel.

Ron Chaimowitz, The Auction Channel's Chairman and CEO said, "This is an
important partnership with a very powerful and committed media partner that will
introduce and reinforce the Auction Channel brand before a substantial audience
in the U.S. and abroad. By bringing the excitement of collecting into millions
of homes via TV and the Internet, `The Real Deal' and The Auction Channel offer
a uniquely interactive and informative format."
