Re: "You are a glass-is-half-empty kind of guy. Look at it this way: AMD had:
-record revenues last quarter
- will have record revenue and profits this quarter
- has gained 150% from January 1
- is sitting at all time high, 5th this week
and all of this with one hand tied behind it's back. Imagine AMD next quarter, fighting with both hands."

Yes these are impressive accomplishments and they shouldn't be overlooked. Thank you for pointing them out. You are correct here. I will add that Intel has had one hand tied also and that is now becoming free.

Re: "Are you short stock, or just puts and cc?"

I have a number of positions.

I am short April $45 puts.
I am short April $47.5 puts.
I am long AMD shares covered by May $70 CCs.
I am long AMD shares covered by April $65 CCs (tax deferred account).

I am inclined to allow the $65 CC's to be assigned and then either write puts or buy shares and write CC's in or close to the money. I'll have to wait until after earnings (which should be good) and see how the market reacts. Earlier I wrote $50 puts right after options expiration last month and got $5. I bought those back @ 5/8s and bought shares which I wrote those CCs on and got ~$7 for. I will write more puts after expiration and use the premium to buy more shares which I have been doing for the last few months. So I am making money here on AMD and I hope to continue.
