If one wants as few people using as possible, one does not want it cheap and legal, one wants it expensive and shady.....

It is a question of POWER, X. Government power.

If the government did what we advocate it would lose a great deal of power. Each time the government gains more power it affects individual liberties, but once it gains that power it is difficult for citizens to strip it of that power.

But I still advocate the disbanding of the ATF, DEA, IRS, "Justice" Department, and a few others. Plus divesting the FBI of much of its power would not be such a bad thing either. Greatly limiting the ability of the government to regulate is also sorely needed, as is the crying need to completely eliminate lobbyists.

Incredibly, I begin to understand the position of the black activists and radicals of the 1960s much better today as I continue to observe the ongoing elitism in Washington, arrogance driven by acquisition of illegal power on the part of the government.

I do not condemn the United States government, as I am certainly aware that much of the rest of the world is even worse, in these regards, however if we truly want a free society and not just the illusion of freedom, then the U.S. government must divest itself of much of the power it has grabbed in the last 130 years.

Unfortunately, it's not likely to happen. Instead, American government and society is continuing down the road to fascism.
